Dr. Lisk co-founded the Dallas Area Parkinson Society’s Parkinson’s disease support group at the Denton Senior Center.

In 2013, Dr. Lisk founded Parkinson’s Awareness Day in the City of San Marino, California. The city proclaimed May 4 as Parkinson’s Awareness Day, approved by Mayor Richard Ward.
